Countdown to Fringe: 11 days!

Hello!

Fringe is fast approaching, and we are getting excited! We have 6 shows in all, and we have had some recent additions to our line up. Dixie De Vries and Megan Gole will both be joining us with new solos, so our program, crossover, now includes 4 solos along with the duet that Catherine and I are working on.
Tickets are available through the Calgary Fringe website or at the door on the night of the performance.
Performances are at the Lantern Church, 1401-10th Ave. SW, Calgary:

Welcome to PSP's blog!

Welcome to the blog for Prairie Sky Productions, a contemporary dance collective based out of Edmonton and Lethbridge, Alberta. PSP was established in 2007 by dance artists Catherine George McLaughlin and Kate Stashko as a vehicle for their choreographic and performance endeavors. We are striving to create accessible contemporary dance, by bringing dance to non-conventional spaces and settings and to smaller centres. Prairie Sky Productions has enjoyed presenting dance in outdoor and site-specific locations, festivals and works-in-progress showings in Toronto, Calgary and Athabasca.

About us

McLaughlin and Stashko are graduates of the Professional Training Program at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and have performed at the Toronto International Dance Festival, Alberta Dance Explosions, Junction Arts Festival, Athabasca Country Fringe Festival and Series 8:08. They look forward to performing at festivals in Edmonton and Calgary, as well as touring their work to smaller locations in Alberta, bringing contemporary dance to new audiences.

Upcoming, Prairie Sky Productions presents a program as part of the Calgary Fringe Festival 2010, running July 30^th through August 7^th. Along with guest artists Dixie De Vries and Megan Gole, PSP presents crossover, a program of four solos (choreographed by McLaughlin, Stashko, De Vries and Gole, respectively) and a duet co-created by McLaughlin and Stashko more than 3000 kilometres apart!
